We’ve designed this guide to help you understand how your course access, exam attempts, and extensions work, from the moment you enroll in any Certified CyberDefenders Certification course to the day you certify.
1. Course Access Duration
Once you enroll, you’ll get 4 months of full access to the course content, labs, and all study resources. During this period, you’ll have everything you need to prepare, practice, and complete your certification.
Your access includes:
All course materials and practical labs.
Two default certification exam attempts.
At the end of your 4 months, your course access will automatically expire.
2. Exam Attempts
Each course comes with two included exam attempts to give you flexibility and confidence.
Here’s how it works:
First Attempt: Valid for 3 months after you click “Start.
Second Attempt: Valid for 4 months from the date of purchase, in other words, after 1 month from the expiration of the first attempt.
To ensure you have time to review and strengthen your skills, there’s a 20-day cool-off period between each attempt.
Note: You must start your exam before the expiration date on your dashboard. Once started, you have the full 48 hours to complete it, even if the expiration date passes.
This structure gives you time to learn, reinforce, and try again with stronger preparation.
3. Retake Policy
After an unsuccessful attempt, you can retake the exam 30 days after your last attempt.
Once you pass, no further attempts are allowed, even if unused attempts remain.
Additional attempts can be purchased through the Certification Store.
4. Store Add-Ons
If your course access expires or you need an additional exam attempt, you can purchase a one-time extension. This option is available through the official Certification Store.
What’s included:
45 additional days of course/lab access to continue your studies without interruption
1 extra exam attempt to give you another chance to pass your certification
Eligibility:
This extension is available only after your course/lab access has expired or if you have used both of your original exam attempts and need one final opportunity.
5. Re-Enrollment
If your access expires and you’d like to continue your learning journey, you can always re-enroll by purchasing a new seat.
Re-enrollment gives you a fresh start with:
Full access to the course content
New exam attempts
Latest content updates
6. Summary Table
